Harvey Nash Appoints Regional Managing Director for Central Europe
March 29, 2021 – Even in the face of a global pandemic, executive search consultants are seeing an increase in hiring mandates from around the world. To meet demand, they continue to develop new practices, hire new recruiters, and open new locations. Global recruiting firms, meanwhile, are taking advantage of a resurgence in certain geographic areas. Recently, recruitment firm Harvey Nash appointed Christian Umbs as regional managing director for Central Europe. He joins the firm in June and will be working with the Central European teams to plan his onboarding. “I’m delighted that Christian is joining us,” said Bev White, CEO of Harvey Nash Group. “As you can imagine I spent a lot of time speaking with him talking about the role, and what struck me was how strong his values were, and the importance he placed on supporting and developing people. Mr. Umbs has over 20 years of experience in the specialized staffing and recruitment industry and brings experience in building businesses internationally. He has spent the past 18 years with Robert Half serving a variety of roles and most recently as managing director in mid and south Germany. His mandate is to develop Harvey Nash into one of the top providers in the technology recruitment sector in Germany, Switzerland and Poland, the firm said.

Latitude 36, which employs 125 colleagues across seven offices spanning the U.S and India will become part of Harvey Nash’s technology recruitment division. The management team of Latitude 36 will take senior leadership roles with the business and will work closely with Harvey Nash’s U.S. team, as well as the wider firm, to integrate, build and grow the business.
