About Us

BoardWalk Consulting is a national executive search firm specializing in the recruitment of CEOs and their direct reports for nonprofits and foundations. The firm’s staff are seasoned practitioners who themselves have served as nonprofit executives, grantmakers and Board leaders for a wide variety of organizations. Nonprofit leadership is our passion and life’s work. BoardWalk delivers on its promise: Finding leaders that matter for missions that matter.®

Headquartered in Atlanta, we have conducted hundreds of leadership searches for clients in at least 33 states and a number of other countries, and it has recruited candidates from all 50 states and beyond. Each search is unique, but our approach is consistent, delivering professionally and demographically diverse leaders ready to make a difference.  Nonprofit leadership is not just part of what we do – it’s all that we do.

We have been a member since inception of the AESC and had the privilege of serving on AESC’s own CEO search committee upon the retirement of its long-time leader.  BoardWalk is also a proud member of Panorama, a partnership of leading boutiques that combine global capability with local sensitivity.
