CarterBaldwin Retained by Cassia for CEO Search
December 12, 2024 – CarterBaldwin Executive Search has been selected by Cassia to lead in its search for a new CEO. Associate partner Gerri Williams is leading the assignment. Bob Dahl, president and CEO of Cassia, formally announced his plan to retire in January 2026. The announcement of Mr. Dahl’s retirement sets in motion a carefully planned leadership succession process, with strong support from Cassia’s board of directors.
“The board of directors is grateful for Bob’s leadership and commitment to our mission for the past 30 years,” said Chip Parks, chair of the Cassia board of directors. “We have begun the process of preparing for a new leader and anticipate a smooth transition in the coming year.”
The Cassia board of directors has appointed a selection committee to lead the nationwide search for a new leader and has retained a professional executive recruitment firm to support that effort. Applications will be accepted by CarterBaldwin Executive Search beginning in February and Cassia plans to have the new CEO in place in the last quarter of 2025.
“I am excited for the future of Cassia,” Dahl said. “I believe that even now, God is preparing a person to lead this ministry into the future when new generations of people will be served. Our mission is right, our culture is strong, and our board and leaders are dedicated to continuing our work.”
Headquartered in Edina, MN, Cassia provides independent and assisted living communities, memory care, skilled nursing care centers, short-term rehabilitation centers, adult day programs and a variety of community-based services for older adults across five states.

The ministry notes that Dr. Moeller has both a heart for and experience serving the global church that honors founder John Stott’s vision to raise the standard of biblical preaching around the world. He comes to Langham with decades of ministry experience and will succeed president Ben Homan, who will retire in December 2024 after more than 14 years of leading Langham. After Mr. Homan privately informed the Langham board of his retirement plans more than a year ago, a committee of current and former Langham board members (and three current staff members) began the presidential search process, assisted by CarterBaldwin Executive Search.
“Our committee sought a heart for the global church as well as experience leading a team and being a collaborative member of an international partnership,” said John Rain, chair of the search committee. “Carl meets all of these criteria.”
