CarterBaldwin Recruits Chief People Officer for Central States
November 6, 2024 – CarterBaldwin Executive Search has assisted in the recruitment of Arturo Towns as the chief people officer of Central States, a provider of metal building components, roofing, and building systems. With a career spanning more than 25 years in human resources, Mr. Towns brings a wealth of experience in strategy, talent acquisition, and development to Central States as the 100 percent employee-owned company focuses on engaging employee-owners and advancing success.
Mr. Towns’ career includes significant leadership roles. He joins the company from Foster Farms (a portfolio company of Atlas Holdings) where he served as chief human resources officer. Prior to that, Mr. Towns served as the CHRO at Smithfield Foods and in senior human resources leadership roles at family-owned Simmons Foods, Tyson Foods, Takata Holdings, and Bristol Myers Squibb. A native of Mexico, he earned his BS in business administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. Mr. Towns is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

CarterBaldwin Recruits Chief People Officer for Shoals Technologies Group
CarterBaldwin Executive Search has assisted in the recruitment of James Hart as chief people officer for NASDAQ-traded Shoals Technologies Group in Portland. TN. Associate partner Derek Broyard led the assignment. Mr. Hart joins Shoals from Cardlytics, where he served as vice president of people, leading the people and culture function for the organization. He began his career at Southwire Company, serving in multiple human resources roles over 13 years with the largest divisions in the company.
Mr. Wieber has significant international experience working within corporations, governments and universities. He brings a vast knowledge base to both the corporate and non-profit practices within CarterBaldwin. As a consultant, Mr. Wieber partners closely on CarterBaldwin’s C-suite and VP-level roles, for both mission-driven searches as well as the firm’s diverse client base.

He comes to Langham with decades of ministry experience and will succeed president Ben Homan, who will retire in December 2024 after more than 14 years of leading Langham.
