AESC Presents Zehnder and Onstott with Top Honors

March 11, 2014 – The Association of Executive Search Consultants (AESC) has presented Egon Zehnder, founding chairman of global recruiter Egon Zehnder, with its Gardner W. Heidrick Award and Joe Onstott, co-founder and managing partner of The Onstott Group, with the Eleanor H. Raynolds Award. The Heidrick Award is presented annually to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the executive search industry; this year marked the first time a non-AESC member has won. Before retiring, Mr. Zehnder’s career spanned four decades and provided critical contributions to the growth and evolution of the industry. In response to what Mr. Zehnder perceived as the unique needs of the European business community, he founded his firm 50 years ago. Today, it enjoys high status in both the global and U.S./Americas regional rankings by HSZ Media. The Eleanor H. Raynolds Award is awarded annually to an executive search professional who combines excellence in recruiting with a strong commitment to volunteerism. Mr. Onstott is an advisor to many CEOs and boards of directors, assisting them in strategically building their companies. His search practice has focused on recruiting board members, CEOs, and executive teams for early stage, high growth, and turnaround businesses in enterprise software, communications, ecommerce, media, defense, security, and business services.
