Spencer Stuart Places First Female President at Cornell

October 2, 2014 – Spencer Stuart has recruited Elizabeth Garrett to serve as the new president of Cornell University. Mr. Garrett, who is the provost of the University of Southern California, becomes the first female in the school’s history to hold the position. By appointing Ms. Garrett, Cornell becomes the sixth Ivy League school to name a woman as president; only Columbia University and Dartmouth College have not done so. Founded in 1865, Cornell is a leading private institution of higher learning located in Ithaca, New York. Spencer Stuart is an executive search firm with 55 offices in 30 countries.
