As a Senior Executive Search Consultant, Sajana draws on her strong relationship management skills to help nonprofits recruit the leaders they need to maximize their positive impact.
Prior to joining Development Guild, Sajana previously worked as an International Educator for over a decade for higher education institutions such as Fordham University and St. Lawrence University. After six years in her role as Assistant Director in Fordham’s Study Abroad office, Sajana transitioned to a front-facing fundraising position for the Fordham Fund. Prior to Fordham, Sajana was a Program Specialist for AFS-USA Intercultural Programs where she worked on a diplomacy program sponsored by the Education and Cultural Affairs Bureau of the US Department of State. She is a graduate of St. Lawrence University with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and a minor in African Studies. She received a Master of Science in Nonprofit Leadership from Fordham University.
A native Vermonter, Sajana now calls New York City home. She serves as a mentor for high school- and college-aged students and was a founding board member for Active Plus, a small NYC-based nonprofit which reaches underserved adolescents through health, nutrition and fitness. In her free time, you can find Sajana enjoying one of her many hobbies: traveling (she has visited five continents!), reading, tending to her house plants, cooking, supporting the performing arts, and political organizing.
