Michael Barros is a Managing Director and Co-Founder of Prestige Scientific. He focuses on executive search and cultural assessment, advising both private and publicly listed pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. He specializes in physician search as well as other clinical R&D senior management assignments across the globe with offices in Massachusetts, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Amsterdam.

Recent Client Experience
Michael’s assignments include the build-out of his exclusive client’s development functions with the placement of their Chief Medical Officer, Sr. Medical Director, Senior Medical Director Pharmacovigilance, Head Clinical Operations, Head Biostatistics & Data Management, and Director Medical Writing. Other recently retained assignments include the successful placement of a Chief Medical Officer who will provide overarching leadership to the company’s current and future pipeline compromised of an entirely new class of immune/oncology therapies. Also a Vice President, Clinical Development to lead the development of life-changing gene therapies for patients with severe neurological diseases, and a Vice President Medical Affairs hired to build an MSL team and implement launch strategy.

Previous Experience
Prior to launching Prestige Scientific in 2001, Michael led and managed a Massachusetts office of an established Chicago-based search firm with 16 offices across the U.S.
