Matthew J. Kilcoyne

Matthew J. Kilcoyne is Managing Partner with RH Perry & Associates. Since joining the firm in 2002, Matt has led or supported over 210 presidential and senior administrative higher education search assignments. He focuses on all aspects of the search process, including: search committee and Board relations; needs analysis and the pre-search study; marketing, candidate identification and recruitment; evaluation and screening; candidate due diligence; and selection and transition.

Matt has been a member of the search team for over 100 presidential search assignments. Most recently, he has completed presidential search assignments for the College of Saint Elizabeth and Iowa Wesleyan College (2013); Fontbonne University and Seton Hill University (2014); Anna Maria College, Hood College, Mercyhurst University, Marian University (WI), Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, the University of Saint Joseph and Wesley College (2015); Lewis University, Marietta College, the National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) and Utica College (2016); the College of Our Lady of the Elms, Immaculata University and the Independence Mission Schools (2017); and the College of New Rochelle and Metropolitan College of New York (2018).

Matt has also successfully completed 110 senior administrative assignments for organizations and institutions as diverse as the Association of Governing Boards of Universities & Colleges (AGB), California State University (Fullerton, Long Beach and Stanislaus campuses), Elmira College, Georgetown University, Lewis University, the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, Marymount University, Mount Saint Mary’s University, and San Jose State University.

Matt has presented at the Association of Catholic College & Universities’ (ACCU) innaugural Aspiring Presidents workshop, the American Council of Education’s (ACE) Fellows program and Advancing to the Presidency workshop and the the American Association of State College & Universities’ (AASCU) Communications Conference for Senior Professionals. He is also engaged with ACE’s Higher Education Leadership Development Roundtable.

A fourth-generation native Washingtonian, Matt retains a strong commitment to educational and social service opportunities for underrepresented communities in the Washington, DC and New York City metropolitan areas. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Theatre Delta, which uses interactive theater to promote dialogue and social change in communities globally.

Matt received his B.A. from Georgetown University and lives in New York City with his wife Jennifer.
