Matthew Hayes is a Senior Consultant with the Executive Search and Leadership Advisors service of Gallagher’s Human Resources and Compensation Consulting practice.
Matthew brings nearly a decade of Retained Executive Search experience. After quickly learning the importance of active listening and the application of behavioral based-interviewing, Matthew has garnered a knack for extracting behavioral tendencies and temperamental dispositions. The ability to assess the specific cultural, functional, and organizational needs for each search and properly discern placements that are mutually beneficial has earned him client trust and afforded him the opportunity to further serve beyond Search with Executive Coaching and Leadership Integration engagements.
While Matthew’s exposure and experience in Executive Search cross a multitude of industry and function areas, he has retained expertise in Industrial, Private Equity, Healthcare, and Non Profit sectors. During his tenure, he has supported or led well over 150 searches with the majority focusing on the C-Suite.
Prior to joining the consulting profession, Matthew served as an AmeriCorps member in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he was tasked with creating and standing up a multi-faceted after school program for at-risk youth. Additionally, he has served on many missions and social enterprise endeavors throughout countries such as Honduras, Haiti and Liberia.
Matthew holds a BS in International Business/Sociology from Louisiana State University. Having recently rolled off the Board of GraceWorks Ministry in Franklin, Tennessee, Matthew currently serves on the Development Committee for the Diocese of Nashville and the Leadership Team of St. Ann Catholic Church. He and his wife, Lindsay live just outside of Nashville with their four children.
