Debra Plousha-Moore

Debra Plousha-Moore, MS serves as Partner and a practice leader in Talent Advisory Services for InveniasPartners and is based in San Francisco, California. A recognized leader in the human capital field, Debra most recently served as Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President of Atrium Health (formerly Carolinas HealthCare System), one of the nation’s leading health care organizations and the region’s largest primary care network. At Atrium, Debra championed strategic transformation and people initiatives that reinforced the institutional mission and propelled the organization to become an industry leader in health care delivery, quality and innovation.

During nearly a decade invested at Atrium, Debra acted as a champion of diversity, inclusion and access to equity and a catalyst for workforce development. She introduced a veteran’s employment strategy, advanced the agenda and call to action at an annual diversity and inclusion symposium, and led a nationally recognized, award winning health and wellbeing program for Atrium teammates. During the course of her career, she has been deeply involved with talent acquisition and search process over 100 senior and executive level roles. She also played a critical role in the executive search for Atrium’s system CEO, COO and CHRO positions.

Debra also served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Organizational Development of OhioHealth Corporation, where she implemented a number of programs aimed at attracting highly skilled, dedicated health care associates. Columbus CEO magazine recognized her as a “management superstar” in the area of human resources. She also led the award-winning health care system’s successful effort to become honored on the coveted Fortune list of “100 Best Places to Work” three years in a row.

Prior to joining OhioHealth, she was vice president of Human Resources and Organizational Development at Genesys Health System, located in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Earlier in her career, Debra served as vice president of Employee Relations, Diversity and Human Resources and later as Regional Vice President for the Franciscan Health System of the Ohio Valley, located in Cincinnati and Dayton. She is a member of the National Association of Health Services Executives (NAHSE) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

A passionate advocate for financial security and economic opportunities, Debra speaks frequently at thought leadership convenings including forums presented by The Aspen Institute. She is a dedicated community volunteer and board leader with Community Shelter, Action for Children Board and The Women’s Fund. Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in English from San Francisco State University and a master’s degree in counseling and human services from the University of Dayton, where she serves on the Board of Trustees.
