Carolyn Chan

Carolyn Chan has more than 25 years of experience in leadership coaching, executive search, and talent development. She has led conversations among global decision makers about attracting, developing, and retaining key leadership talent, and she has coached leaders on improving individual and team effectiveness. In addition, she has completed numerous searches within the education and nonprofit sectors for chief executives, development directors, and other functional leaders. Clients include Yale-NUS, INSEAD, Habitat for Humanity, Talent Trust, and Harvard Business Publishing. She is passionate about promoting diversity on boards, advancing women’s leadership, and cross-cultural coaching. Most recently, Carolyn has served as Executive Coach and Co-Chair for the Asia Women’s Initiative and Network at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL). Previously, she was Managing Partner for the Chief Human Resource Officers practice at Heidrick & Struggles and co-chaired the Women’s Corporate Director chapter in Singapore. She helped establish A.T. Kearney Executive Search in Asia and has lived in Hong Kong and Singapore. Carolyn is a member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and is certified in a number of psychological assessment tools including Gallup StrengthsFinder, CCL’s Coach Certification, Hogan, Benchmarks 360, CPI 260, WorkPlace Big Five, MBTI (Step I and II), FIRO-B, DISC and Corporate Coach U’s Executive Coaching. Carolyn has served as a board member and committee chair for the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. As an active member of the Chicago Booth alumni network, Carolyn has participated in Chicago Women in Business and has contributed to panels at the Executive MBA Conference in Los Angeles (2014) and Singapore (2012).
