As President and Chief Executive Officer of WittKieffer, Andrew Chastain is responsible for charting the firm’s strategic trajectory while ensuring excellence and exceptional service for the firm’s clients. Andrew brings over 20 years of leadership experience to the firm and continues to play a key role in select, high-profile search assignments. As a trusted advisor, Andrew offers his clients a consultative approach with keen strategic insight to deliver proven results. He merges his extensive management and healthcare expertise to identify leadership needs while providing guidance through a rigorous assessment process to identify outstanding leaders for his clients.
His search assignments include identifying C-suite and executive leaders in healthcare, including children’s hospitals, integrated health systems, academic medical centers, research institutes, consulting firms, and other health related industries. He has also conducted searches on behalf of colleges, universities, community associations, and cultural institutions.
For his innovative approaches to addressing clients’ leadership needs, Andrew received the 2016 “Future of the Profession” award from the Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC).
Prior to joining WittKieffer, Andrew served as a member of the business and strategic planning team of a national healthcare consulting firm. In that role, he worked closely with hospitals and health systems, physician practices, and long-term care systems in developing strategic and new business plans. Prior to consulting, Andrew worked in hospital operations for a large academic medical center.
Andrew is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and serves on the Xavier University Graduate Program in Health Administration’s Advisory Board. He is a frequent speaker and noted author on industry related trends pertaining to career management, CEO succession planning, and governance. In addition, he has completed the eCornell certificate program in Diversity and Inclusion, which focuses on improving employee engagement, counteracting unconscious bias, and fostering an inclusive work climate.
