Alissa Moody is a Partner at JM Search where she focuses on recruiting executives in the industrial and basic materials sectors. She co-leads the firm’s Industrial Technology practice and has worked across highly technical segments such as motion control, optics, machine vision, sensor and scanning components with hardware and software elements.With over 10 years of executive search experience, Alissa works across functions to place P&L leaders, C-Suite, and VP level executives in decentralized industrial conglomerates, such as ITW, as well as lower to middle market, privately held manufacturing businesses. She focuses on identifying high caliber talent with the DNA to drive growth in fast paced environments. Alissa is particularly passionate about promoting female leadership within manufacturing organizations.
Prior to joining JM Search, Alissa recruited executives in apparel and retail, primarily for merchandising and operational roles in global companies such as Nike, Burberry and Liz Claiborne. She also spent time helping start-up organizations in the clean technology and carbon space, where she built teams primarily in the engineering and scientific research functions. Alissa’s background recruiting in industries as diverse as luxury apparel and industrial manufacturing is a testament to her range and ability to recruit in any industry, for any functional role.
After graduating from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, Alissa dipped her toe in the Hollywood entertainment industry, where she worked for talent managers representing clients such as Robin Williams, Kate Hudson, and Dennis Hopper. While her focus has changed from matching actors with scripts to placing executives within companies, Alissa does her best to keep up to date on film and television in her spare time.
