R. Norris Orms to Join Vetted Solutions as Chicago VP

WASHINGTON, D.C., February 1, 2016 — Respected association executive R. Norris Orms has been named Vice President in the Chicago, IL office of Vetted Solutions, the Washington, D.C. based executive search firm specializing in executive recruiting for the association, non-profit, hospitality and destination marketing communities.

Orms brings more than 25 years of experience working with associations and other nonprofit organizations. He currently serves as executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). It is the largest global healthcare association focused on leading efforts to optimize health engagements and care outcomes using information technology. His expertise has enabled Orms to earn widespread recognition and respect within the association, healthcare, and information technology sectors. His extensive involvement in various leadership roles within the American Society of Association Executives has made him a popular authority and effective advisor on organizational leadership issues.

Before joining HIMSS in 1997, Orms was executive director of the Foundation for Safety and Health and director of Safety Council Relations for the National Safety Council. He holds a master of business administration degree and is board-certified in healthcare management, a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a fellow of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and a Certified Association Executive (CAE).
