Houston, TX – May 20, 2026 – Preng & Associates is pleased to announce the successful placement of Mary Kenner as Chief Human Resources Officer at Caturus Energy LLC, a rapidly growing integrated natural gas and LNG platform supported by a consortium of leading global investors, including Kimmeridge, Mubadala Energy, and Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments), alongside participation from other major institutional partners.
The completion of the executive search comes at a pivotal moment for Caturus, as the company advances its ambition to build the nation’s leading independent integrated natural gas and LNG business through its differentiated wellhead-to-water strategy.
Preng & Associates partnered with Caturus to identify and secure a senior human resources leader with deep experience across large-scale energy organizations and complex workforce environments. Mary Kenner brings more than 25 years of HR leadership experience across the energy sector, including prior roles as Chief Human Resources Officer of Freeport LNG and senior leadership positions with Swift Energy Company, TXU Energy, and Shell Trading.
“We are proud to have supported Caturus in securing a leader of Mary’s caliber at such a transformational stage in the company’s growth,” said David Preng, Partner at Preng & Associates. “Her experience in aligning human capital strategy with large-scale infrastructure and energy operations positions her well to support the continued expansion of the platform.”
The appointment coincides with a major milestone for Caturus following its positive Final Investment Decision (FID) for the Commonwealth LNG project, a 9.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) liquefied natural gas export facility located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The project includes successful closing of $9.75 billion in project financing and represents a core component of Caturus’ integrated wellhead-to-water strategy.
Upon completion, Commonwealth LNG is expected to be one of the most cost-competitive and efficient LNG export facilities in the United States, with total capital commitments reaching $21.25 billion. The project is designed to deliver abundant, lower-emission natural gas to global markets and is expected to generate more than $3 billion in annual export revenue once operations commence by 2030.
David Lawler, CEO of Caturus, noted that the company’s integrated model positions it to serve growing global demand for reliable, lower-carbon energy solutions across the full natural gas value chain—from production through liquefaction and export.
Preng & Associates previously partnered with Kimmeridge on the placement of CEO David Lawler in 2024, when the business operated as Kimmeridge Texas Gas prior to the launch of the Caturus platform. The placement helped support the company’s strategy of building an integrated natural gas and LNG business with a differentiated wellhead-to-water model.
Preng & Associates continues to advise and support leading energy and infrastructure companies in securing senior executive talent across the globe.
