The Crucial Role of Talent in Private Equity Value Creation

Introduction by: Bill Vlaad Chief Executive Officer – Vlaad and Company Wes Pringle Managing Director, Head of Portfolio Operations – Onex

The head of portfolio operations within most private equity firms plays a key role in identifying, creating and driving value across their portfolio companies as well as managing effective due diligence processes. In the following presentation, Wes Pringle, managing director and head of portfolio operations at Onex, will discuss how achieving these results depends largely on talent. Using a “5 Why” problem solving framework that leverages his years at Danaher, he will discuss how most value creation efforts ultimately confront the question of team capability and organizational talent.
