MaryBeth Nicholas Cruz Joins DHR International as Partner

PORTLAND (November 16, 2020) – Global executive search firm DHR International is pleased to announce MaryBeth Nicholas Cruz has joined the firm as Partner in the Healthcare practice group. She has a significant understanding of the strategic, operational, and cultural challenges faced by healthcare organizations due to more than 25 years of executive and leadership experience.

The addition of Cruz to DHR expands the Healthcare Practice presence on the West Coast. Her search experience in Academic Medicine, Chief Medical Officers, Chief Physician Executives, Chief Operating Officer’s, and Managed Care additionally strengthens the breadth of DHR’s Healthcare team expertise.

Cruz has dedicated her career to providing exceptional, high-touch client experience while building high-performing leadership teams and medical groups. She leverages an analytic approach to sourcing and vetting and designs market competitive employment offers that support successful hiring and retention strategies.

Prior to joining DHR, Cruz served as the Principal for Cruz Consulting Group in Portland, Oregon, which she opened in 2015. Her executive search career began with Providence Health & Services, where she skillfully recruited hundreds of physicians, physician executives and administrative leaders serving five states and 34 medical centers. Cruz has also held executive roles with Cejka Executive Search and Korn Ferry International.

Cruz is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants, and the Medical Group Management Association, as well as a former member of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters. She has served on the Board of Trustees for Trillium Family Services since 2012. The not-for-profit organization supports mental and behavioral health for children and teens in Oregon.

Cruz earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Western Oregon  University. Training at the renowned Stanford University Sleep Center, Cruz launched her career as a registered polysomnographic technologist.
