Lindauer Seeks Vice President for Alumni Affairs and Development at Yale University

The Opportunity

The Vice President for Alumni Affairs and Development will join Yale at this defining moment. Reporting directly to President Maurie McInnis and serving on both the President’s Cabinet and Vice Presidents Council, this leader will guide one of higher education’s premier advancement organizations while helping shape Yale’s future during a period of exceptional opportunity.

Following the successful completion of a landmark campaign, the University is focused on sustaining philanthropic momentum, strengthening alumni engagement across generations, and advancing ambitious academic priorities in an increasingly complex higher education landscape. Working closely with University leadership, trustees, deans, faculty, and volunteers, the Vice President will translate Yale’s academic vision into compelling opportunities for investment and partnership while serving as one of the institution’s most visible ambassadors.

Leading a comprehensive advancement enterprise and partnering closely with President McInnis and other university leaders, the Vice President will build on Yale’s tremendous philanthropic achievements and relationships. They will champion collaboration across Yale’s decentralized environment, strengthen and broaden relationships with one of the world’s most influential alumni communities, foster innovation through data and emerging technologies, and continue developing an outstanding advancement team to support Yale’s strategic priorities and long-term aspirations.
