HARTZ Search Places Shelly Catalina as Manager, Talent Acquisition at Essentia Health

(Oct. 19, 2020) HARTZ Search is excited to announce the placement of Shelly Catalina as the Manager, Talent Acquisition at Essentia Health – West Division in Duluth, MN.

Shelly Catalina is a multi-industry Talent Acquisition leader with nearly 20 years in recruiting and over 10 years leading and engaging centralized and decentralized recruiting teams with diverse oversight of talent acquisition areas, including college recruiting, high volume, corporate and executive search, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and RPO management. A strategic thinker and tactical executor, Shelly marries short- and long-term strategies with innovative solutions, data-driven decisions, operational excellence and efficiency. She excels in recruitment strategy, inclusive team synergy, relevant analytics, and project management incorporating the latest trends and technologies in recruiting. Shelly’s core strengths include trusted business partner, brand ambassador, team development, and logical thought leader. Shelly Catalina was most recently the Group Recruiting Manager for JC Penney.

Shelly will report directly to Nathaniel Sweet; Director of Talent Acquisition will be starting at Essentia on October 26th.

Essentia Health is a network of hospitals, clinics and related health care facilities serving patients in Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and Idaho. In the summer of 2010, Essentia Health brought together the SMDC Health System, Brainerd Lakes Health, Innovis Health, Essentia Community Hospitals and Clinics, and the Essentia Institute of Rural Health. Essential Health was originally formed in January 2004 through a partnership of the Benedictine Health System and SMDC Health System. In January 2008, Innovis Health joined Essentia Health and all the hospitals and clinics owned by the Benedictine Health System were transferred to Essentia Community Hospitals and Clinics.
