HARTZ Search Announces the Placement of Kathryn “Kitty” Sorlie as the Director, Cancer Center & Infusion Services at JPS Health Network.

(Sept. 28, 2020) After an extensive national search, Kitty was selected to lead the clinical nursing for the Cancer Center for JPS Health Network, a 578-bed, national award-winning, Public Safety-Net hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

The JPS Oncology & Infusion Center is home to The Hope Team, a team of health care professionals dedicated to providing cancer patients with the best, most personal care possible. Now an accredited cancer care facility by the American College of Surgeons, the JPS Oncology & Infusion Center is nationally recognized for providing quality cancer care, especially accruing clinical trials.

Kitty Sorlie is currently the Nursing Director at Valley Health System- Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas. Kitty is responsible for Nursing leadership oversight of 235 inpatient beds for Medical, Surgical, Oncology, and Rehab. Her responsibility includes operational, financial, patient experience, and quality improvement initiatives for nursing clinical practice. She has successfully led Med-Surg hospital project to improve patient satisfaction throughout the admission and discharge process.

Ms. Sorlie is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Nursing Practice with a projected completion this fall, she has a Master of Healthcare Administration and Bachelor of Science in Nursing to compliment her extensive career of leading multi-disciplinary teams and driving excellent clinical outcomes. Ms. Sorlie has been certified in the following designations:

• American Organization for Nursing Leadership – Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP)
• Oncology Nursing Society – Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)
• Lean Six Sigma Training- Yellow Belt
