About PKD-Free Alliance

PKD-Free Alliance is a fast-growing nonprofit committed to ending Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). We support families, fund critical genetic testing, and collaborate with the medical community to inspire science-driven solutions. We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated leader to help propel our mission to new heights.

Your Role

This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate nonprofit professional to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. You’ll work directly with our visionary founder, Richard Kellner, to shape the future of PKD-Free Alliance. Together, we aim to give countless families the gift of a life free from PKD’s burden.

You’ll guide growth, foster partnerships, oversee operations, and lead outreach initiatives. Through your leadership, PKD-Free will remain at the forefront of creative, science-based approaches to combating this life-altering disease.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations, Grants & Partnerships

· Develop strategies to engage influencers, attract sponsorships, and expand networks.

· Build and nurture partnerships with medical centers and stakeholders.

· Enhance and oversee donor/stakeholder engagement through CRM tools.

· Review and approve grant applications, supporting recipients directly.

· Lead targeted email campaigns to PKD Centers of Excellence.

· Represent PKD-Free at industry events, open houses, and conferences.

· Create impactful educational materials to expand awareness.

· Recruit, manage, and inspire a strong volunteer network.

2. Social Media & Public Relations

· Strengthen and expand PKD-Free’s social media presence.

· Engage with PKD-related online communities to build visibility.

· Monitor and respond to social media inquiries thoughtfully.

· Collaborate with PR teams to refine strategy, messaging, and content.

· Represent the organization at conferences and public forums.

Who You Are

Mission-Driven: You have a deep connection to PKD—personal or professional—and are passionate about supporting families, advancing genetic research, and driving impactful change within the PKD community.

Experienced Leader: You bring proven expertise in nonprofit leadership, including grants management, partnership building, and advocacy. You thrive in data-driven environments and understand the nuances of genetic research and its impact.

Self-Starter & Communicator: You’re independent, proactive, and thrive on solving challenges. You also excel in collaborating with diverse stakeholders—from researchers to families—and are skilled at communicating a compelling vision to drive engagement and impact.

Compensation & Benefits

· Salary: $80,000+ per annum, commensurate with experience.
