DHR Completes Chief Marketing Officer Search for MariaDB

SILICON VALLEY, CA,  February 27, 2018 – Global Executive Search firm DHR International is pleased to announce the successful placement of Franz Aman as Chief Marketing Officer of MariaDB. The search was completed by Partner, David Madden and Managing Partner, Keith Giarman.

Aman joins MariaDB with over 25 years of experience leading integrated, data-driven marketing programs at some of the best known global technology companies. In his new role, he will be responsible for continuing to expand MariaDB’s global brand to grow and support accelerating enterprise sales.

Prior to joining the MariaDB Corporation, Aman served as the Founder of The Marketing Data Lake Company, where he advised a variety of technology companies on how to maximize the use of data to drive measurable marketing performance. Previously, he was the Senior Vice President of Marketing Strategy & Operations for Informatica and the Chief Marketing Officer at SGI. Earlier in his career, Aman held various leadership positions at SAP, including Vice President of Corporate Marketing, Vice President of Business Intelligence and Enterprise Information Management Marketing, and Vice President of New Product Concepts. Aman began his career at Sun Microsystems, Inc as the Senior Director of Software Updates. Aman earned a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München.
