Caldwell Places Paul Young as CFO at Liberty Bank

Greenwich, CT, January 21, 2020 – Caldwell is pleased to announce it has placed Paul Young as the new CFO of Liberty Bank, Connecticut’s oldest bank.

Young comes to Liberty Bank with over 20 years in the financial services industry. He brings extensive experience from his past roles as CFO and Controller, and has a vast knowledge of financial leadership responsibilities. Beginning in the 1990s, Young’s banking career path led him to numerous opportunities and positions. He has a solid foundation as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and came up through the ranks in successive financial roles prior to divisional CFO roles. Most recently Paul served as Chief Financial Officer, Business Banking, Citizens Access and Consumer Deposits for Citizens Banks’ U.S. Franchise. Prior to that, he was the CFO of digital banking platform BankMobile, a division of Customers Bank; Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives at The CIT Group; TD Bank’s Head of U.S. Strategy, Corporate Development and Finance Shared Services from 2013-2016; CFO, U.S. Retail Banking, Mass Affluent and Wealth from 2011-2013 and CFO, U.S. Commercial Banking 2009-2011, also at TD Bank; CFO, CIT Corporate Finance; and Senior Vice President, Controller at Siemens Financial Services.

In addition to his many accomplishments, Young served as the Treasurer on the TD Bank Charitable Foundation Board of Directors for five years. Young holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bloomfield College and an MBA from Temple University’s Fox School of Business. He also completed Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business Advanced Management Program. He is a CPA, Chartered Global Management Accountant, and member of the Americans Regional Advisory Panel of the American Institute of CPAs. Paul and his family will relocate to Connecticut from New Jersey.
