Dallas-based executive search and leadership consulting firm Bryant Group conducted a nationwide search resulting in Fran Albrecht securing the role as president & CEO of the Montana State University Alumni Foundation.

A native Montanan, Albrecht most recently served as the chief philanthropy officer for the Providence Montana Health Foundation in Missoula, MT. An experienced leader with over 25 years as a successful nonprofit executive, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the position. She began her career as the executive director of Watson Children’s Shelter, Inc. and led the organization from the brink of closure to a thriving community resource. Albrecht was later appointed by then-Governor Steve Bullock to the Montana University System Board of Regents, where she served for six years, eventually serving as chair.

In her new position, Albrecht will be leading the Montana State University Alumni Foundation. The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Montana State University and works to cultivate lifelong relationships and secure private support to advance Montana State University. Established in 1946 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, the Foundation has played a key role in Montana State University’s land-grant mission to integrate education, generate knowledge and art and serve communities.
