Heidrick & Struggles Adds Principal in Japan

September 8, 2010 – Executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International has expanded its life sciences practice in Japan with the addition of Katsuro Kuroda as a principal. Mr. Kuroda will be responsible for working with medical device and pharmaceutical clients. He joins Heidrick from Takeda Pharmaceuticals with a career that spanned 20 years in Japan, Germany, the U.K., Taiwan and China. He previously managed Takeda’s Taiwan subsidiary as president and general manager, and was the lead of Takeda’s Asian/Middle East/African businesses in Osaka. “We are proud to announce the appointment of Katsuro Kuroda as a principal in our life sciences practice. His international track record and depth of experience make him someone who can globally bridge the gap between a Japanese firm going international and the local leadership issues being faced around the world,” said Charles Moore, global practice managing partner of the firm's life sciences practice. Heidrick & Struggles is a provider of senior-level executive search and leadership advisory services, including succession planning, executive assessment, talent retention management, executive development, transition consulting for newly appointed executives, and M&A human capital integration consulting.
