CDI Corp. Records Nine Percent Revenue Rise

October 28, 2011 – CDI Corp./(NYSE:CDI), a provider of IT-focused recruitment solutions, posted third quarter revenues of $272.5 million, a 9.3 percent gain from revenues of $249.4 million, a year ago. For the quarter ended September 30, 2011, the company reported a net income of $2.8 million or $0.15 per diluted share, compared with a gain of $1.7 million, or nine cents a share a share a year ago. Management Recruiters International, Inc. third quarter revenue increased 10.2 percent versus the prior-year third quarter driven by increases in contract staffing revenue, but offset somewhat by decreases in franchise royalty revenue. U.K.-based AndersElite third quarter revenue increased 23.5 percent versus the prior-year third quarter reflecting increases in contract staffing and in permanent placement. “CDI had strong underlying operating performance in the third quarter despite a challenging economic environment,” said Paulett Eberhart, CDI's president and chief executive officer. “Although the economic outlook remains uncertain, we anticipate growth through the end of the year from increased demand in some sectors of our business.”
