CDI Corp. Posts Modest Gain; MRI Revenues Down

May 8, 2014 – CDI Corp./(NYSE:CDI), a Philadelphia-based provider of IT-focused recruitment solutions, posted first quarter revenues of $276.3 million, an increase of 2.5 percent from revenues of $269 million a year ago. The company reported a net gain of $2 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, compared to earnings of $2.5 million, or $0.20 per diluted share, last year. Management Recruiters International (MRI) first quarter revenue decreased 3.1 percent to $13.9 million compared to the prior-year first quarter. “We continue to face revenue challenges in our government-related businesses, as well as in MRI and non-program staffing. Additionally, sales to our largest customer remain significantly below year-ago levels,” said CDI Interim CEO and president, Robert Larney.
