Below you will find an interactive data set that shows the gender balance on boards from 2014 to 2020. Using the “Select Year” drop-down button, you can toggle between the 7 years of data, hover over the charts to discover the percent change year over year.
This year’s global gender diversity analysis shows that the United States saw an increase in the percentage of women on boards by 1.67%, which now shows that 28.8% of U.S. boards are women.
In 2020, the country that saw the highest percentage of women on boards was France, with 43.6% females, an increase of 0.71%% from the year prior.
The United Kingdom had a strong year for gender balance growth. From 2019 to 2020, they increase their average percentage of women on boards by 2.53%, resulting in 36.3% female directors.
