Western Washington Names Mesquita as Director of Admissions

MACON, GA, September 15, 2016 — After a national search, Western Washington University has selected Ceazar O. Mesquita to serve as Director of Admissions. Mr. Mesquita will assume his new post on November 1, 2016.

Mr. Mesquita brings 16 years of experience in higher education admissions administration. He is currently the Director of Admissions at the University of Idaho, a position he has held since 2012. Over his career, he also has served as Director of Admission at Antioch College in Ohio, College of Wooster in Ohio, and Doanne College in Nebraska. At the University of Denver, he was Assistant Director of Admission, Interim Director of Admission, and then Director of Diversity Enrollment.

Before entering the field of higher education, he served two years as Interim Executive Director/Assistant Director of the Latin American Educational Foundation in Denver.

Mr. Mesquita holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish with minors in International Affairs, French, and Portuguese from the University of Nebraska. He earned a Master of Arts degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Alabama.
