USC Selects Mike Bohn as Director of Athletics

LOS ANGELES, CA, November 7, 2019 – The University of Southern California (USC) and Turnkey Search today announced Mike Bohn as USC’s Director of Athletics, succeeding Lynn Swann. Bohn will be responsible for the overall culture and operation of the Athletics Department and its intercollegiate athletics programs. The Athletic Director reports to the President of the University and serves as a member of the President’s cabinet.

Bohn has a wealth of AD experience, previously serving as Director of Athletics for the University of Idaho, San Diego State University, University of Colorado, and most recently the University of Cincinnati. Three of the previous four years, the University of Cincinnati produced a four-year Academic Progress Rate above 990 (only 10 teams scored a perfect 1000 in the most recent NCAA APR release). Bohn oversaw a resurgent Football team that has, on several occasions, been ranked in the AP Top 25. On top of that, he ensured the on budget and on time completion of a $103 million major football stadium renovation. In addition to the success of the Football program, the Men’s Basketball team is coming off of a spectacular season in which they went 28-7 and were a 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
