August 9, 2021. TurnkeyZRG’s Vice President, Katy Young Staudt, has been selected for the Sports Business Journal 2021 Class of “Game Changers: Women in Sports Business.” Making her the second TurnkeyZRG employee to win this Award alongside Managing Director & COO, Diana Busino. Together, the 11th class of Game Changers, are 50 women who make up one of the most accomplished groups of executives ever assembled. They are the thought leaders across their organizations — teams, leagues and colleges; agencies and brands; law firms and media companies, and more — and their impressive work extends from events and venues to social responsibility and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Katy started at TurnkeyZRG in late 2020 and is the Vice President of our intercollegiate athletics search practice. Katy was also recently named top “40 under 40” in Men’s College Basketball by The Athletic. She regularly speaks at the LEAD1 Athletic Directors Institute, NACDA, Women Leaders in College Sports, Learfield Minority Academy, Minority Coaches Think Tank, the Collegiate Coaching Consortium, and Athletic Director University, among many others. Katy is in her 17th year working in the executive recruiting and the college athletics industry, she has supported 150+ searches for Division I head coaches, athletic directors, and administrators at institutions such as Yale, Texas Tech, Ole Miss, Cal, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Fresno State, Bucknell, Fairfield, Cleveland State, Tulsa, Johns Hopkins and many, many more. Katy graduated from The University of Tulsa with a degree in Business Administration. When asked about this accolade, Katy said, “I am thrilled and humbled to be selected to the Game Changers Class of 2021 and be alongside an incredible group of influential and talented women who are advancing our industry.”

Alongside TurnkeyZRG, SBJ will profile each of these women and offer a glimpse into their lives away from work in a special section on Sept. 27 and by following the hashtag #SBJGC on social media. As their achievements have come in a largely male-dominated industry, these Game Changers also serve as role models and mentors to young women striving to enter and succeed in sports business. As a further activation that expands this one-time award into a lifelong community, TurnkeyZRG has also established an exclusive LinkedIn group composed of women trailblazers across SBJ’s Game Changers, Forty Under 40, and New Voices Under 30, Cynopsis’ Top Women in Media, and guests of Dionna Widder’s Women Blazers Podcast, with the goal of facilitating mentorship, sharing of best practices, and overall connectivity to support the continued climb of women in the sports industry.
