The Loring Group Places VP of Finance at Fenagh Engineering and Testing

(Jan. 2021) The Loring Group, a San Francisco-based retained executive search firm, recently placed the Vice President of Finance for Fenagh Engineering and Testing with Sunday Adebowale. The search was led by Rich Kampmann, a Partner at TLG, and was completed in 42 days.

Fenagh Engineering and Testing, founded in 2014, is a Pleasanton, CA based materials testing, special inspection, and geotechnical services company with additional offices in Southern California, Arizona, Texas, New York, and New England. It is a privately held firm in rapid growth, just beyond startup with ownership operating additional non-competing complementary engineering services. The name ‘Fenagh’ pronounced ‘fee-nah’ is a reference to the home village of the parents of its founder in the Republic of Ireland.

Sunday Adebowale is a seasoned and accomplished finance and accounting professional with over 20 years of experience in financial controls, project management, and information systems governance. Before joining Fenagh, he worked with Silman Industries, a Northern California materials testing company. In addition, Sunday volunteers at local education and spiritual-based non-profits to better serve his local community.

This was another diverse placement for TLG, where 4 of the last 6 retained executive searches we have completed have been filled with diverse candidates.  “Diversity, equity, and inclusion are critical considerations for most of our assignments,” said Steve Caliger, Managing Partner at TLG. “We believe a diverse tapestry of perspectives and viewpoints facilitates innovation, and innovation is key to our client’s success. “

Speed and agility in executive search is also critical today. “Companies in today’s fast-paced hiring environment are losing desired candidates in the interview process because the job market is so hot,” commented Steve. With crisis being the mother of invention, The Loring Group created a new ‘Agile Search Model’ that completes retained executive search, with all diligence, in 6 to 8 weeks. Caliger stated that “we have clients interviewing candidates within 2 to 3 weeks which puts them in control of the talent pool, versus having others dictate it. We have recently completed three C-level retained searches within 42, 44, and 56 days using our ‘Agile Search Model,’ and our clients are thrilled!”

TLG was founded in 2019 by former Stanton Chase partners Caliger and Rich Kampmann. Rich brings 15 plus years of executive search and leadership consulting expertise to his client organizations and has 14 years of hands-on leadership experience in the banking and financial services arena. He has performed hundreds of searches for companies worldwide at the executive and senior management levels, has advocated for commercial and private banks, and currently successfully supports Fintech, Consumer Products, Industrial and Non-Profit companies. Rich supports many non-profit organizations in the San Francisco community. He recently completed ten years on the Pomeroy Recreation and Rehabilitation Center board that served people with disabilities and was a Member of the Admissions Committee at the Olympic Club.
