The Lancer Group Places Michael Wiechart as an Operating Partner Focused on Healthcare at The Riverside Company

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, January 24, 2017 — The Lancer Group places Michael Wiechart as an Operating Partner at The Riverside Company, a leading global private equity firm focused on making control-and non-control investments in growing businesses valued up to $400 Million. Since its founding in 1998, Riverside has invested in more than 450 transactions, and its international portfolio includes more than 85 companies.

Michael Wiechart, a seasoned operator, will serve as Operating Partner for Riverside’s healthcare division and will be responsible for delivering deep operating, transaction and healthcare experience to the firm and its portfolio companies. He brings to Riverside over 20 years of deep experience in the hospital and healthcare space. He most recently served as CEO of RCCH HealthCare Partners, after successfully guiding then GTCR-backed Capella Healthcare into a $550 Million merger with RegionalCare Hospital Partners with the backing of private equity firm, Apollo Capital Management.
