The Golden State Warriors Choose Stone as General Manager, Chase Center

OAKLAND, CA, April 2, 2019 – The Golden State Warriors, in partnership with Turnkey Search, announced the hire of Kim Stone as the new General Manager of the Chase Center. Stone will report directly to Team President & Chief Operating Officer Rick Welts. In this new role, Stone will be responsible for all aspects of arena operations, including developing and leading the programming strategy and execution for the arena/development, food & beverage, facility maintenance, production, event operations, box office operations, guest services, parking, security, custodial and sustainability.

“Kim’s experience crosses most every aspect of the sports and entertainment industry,” Welts said in a statement. “Chase Center will be a global destination and Kim’s vision and experience in guiding a world-class venue will add to the fan experience we aspire to deliver every day.”

For the past 23 years, Stone has held a variety of roles including the oversight of new arena development, operations, guest experience and new business development for the Miami Heat and the American Airlines Center. Most recently, Stone served as their Executive Vice President of Sales & Business Development. Stone received her B.S. from the University of North Carolina and her M.B.A. from the University of Miami.
