Successful Search for Horton International India

We are delighted to share that Horton International India has successfully completed a Search and placed Ajay Mahajan in the position of MD & CEO for – CARE Ratings.  Ajay has joined CARE Ratings for five years from 15^th April.

The search was conducted by Dr. Deependra (Dipy) Nigam, Managing Partner.

Ajay Mahajan has worked in organizations like Bank of America where he started his career in 1990 and went on to become MD & Country Head of Global Markets Group.

In BankAm, Ajay also led the initiative of building the first 100% foreign owned NBFC in the country to do primary dealership and credit fixed income.

Thereafter, he worked in various entrepreneurial assignments including being a part of the management team at inception of Yes Bank in 2004, building UBS’ maiden branch in India in 2008 and then working in a hugely transformative role in IDFC which converted from being an Infrastructure Financing NBFC to a full service commercial bank. Ajay spent the 7 years at IDFC Bank, building teams, systems, processes and cutting-edge technologies to support the wholesale bank’s growth. During this stint, he was responsible for large corporate banking, Mid-Market Banking, FIG, International Banking, Government Banking, Transaction Banking, Financial Markets & SME.

Ajay has served as a Director on the Board of Fixed Income Money Markets and Derivatives Association of India (FIMMDA), promoted by banks and financial institutions to facilitate the development of securities and derivatives markets in India.
