Sarah Slavin Appointed as Chief Executive Officer, Resource Area for Teaching

NEW YORK, N.Y., December 2017 – Bridge Partners is delighted to announce the appointment of Sarah Slavin as Chief Executive Officer for Resource Area For Teaching (RAFT).

In her new role at RAFT (http://www.raft.net/), Sarah will work to take the organization to the next level of impact by developing a strategic plan and refining the vision for RAFT that will grow impact and reach and, evolve a model for national impact helping educators to prepare students to meet 21st Centruy real world challenges.

Prior to joining RAFT, Sarah was the Regional Executive Director, External Relations – West for New Leaders and led ER and strategy for a complex portfolio of partners across the Bay Area, the State of California and the Western region. She was previously Director, Chicago and the Midwest Region for the New Teacher Center based in Chicago, IL.

Sarah earned her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University and began her service- focused career at Chicago Public Schools, City of Chicago, Board of Education.

Sarah began her career in the private sector but has spent the majority of her time over the last 17 years dedicated to nonprofit leadership in urban education reform with a focus on demonstrable impact on student outcomes — in nonprofits, the public school system and the foundation world.
