SEATTLE, WA, January 8, 2018 – The Regional Trade and Economic Development Alliance is the working name for a new regional organization developed to enhance trade and economic development efforts and bring a broad-based and inclusive economic growth and prosperity for the Puget Sound region. Jorgenson Consulting, a North Carolina based executive search firm, has been selected to conduct the search for Chief Executive Officer. Todd Jorgenson, Managing Director and Principal will lead the search.
The Alliance is a private-public collaborative endeavor intended to foster greater coordination and cooperation within the Puget Sound region to support trade and economic development that is broad-based, inclusive and provides an opportunity for all of the region’s residents. The Alliance will begin operations by July 1, 2018, with full operations commencing by January 1, 2019.
The Search Committee includes Committee Chairs Phyllis Campbell, Chairman of the Pacific Northwest Region for JP Morgan Chase, Brad Smith, President and Chief Legal Officer of Microsoft and former Mayor of the City of Tacoma, Marilyn Strickland. In addition, Committee Members include former Washington State Governor Chris Gregoire, Rebecca Lovell, Acting Economic Development Director of the City of Seattle, Bill McSherry, Vice President of State and Local and Global Corporate Citizenship of Boeing, Patrick Pierce, President and CEO of the Economic Alliance of Snohomish County, and DeLee Shoemaker, Senior Director for State Government Affairs at Microsoft.
