William P. Willis

Current position: As the CEO of Willis Consulting, Bill oversees a team of fourteen senior recruiters. Focused exclusively on the financial service space, the firm clients include wirehouses, banks, regionals, independents, and RIAs. The team recruits advisors and senior managers and supports M&A activity.

Career history: Bill founded Willis Consulting, Inc. in 2000 after 25 successful years in the securities industry. He managed a complex of offices for Merrill Lynch in Southern California for a number of years and prior to that had leadership roles at Sutro and Prudential Securities in Tucson, San Antonio, Chicago and New York.

Additional Information: Bill is the author of numerous articles published in premier trade journals and has written a regular column for OnWallStreet. He is frequently interviewed by the financial service media regarding industry trends. Originally from Chicago, Bill graduated from Union College with a BS in Psychology. He and his wife Karen reside in Rolling Hills, CA., a suburb of Los Angeles. They have three sons, all of whom are financial advisors.
