Michael began his career in Executive Search in 1993 and he’s been recruiting for the Alternative Investment industry ever since. In April of 2004 , Michael launched Long Ridge Partners with then colleague Adam L’Esperance. Michael has an expertise in recruiting for a number of different disciplines including Portfolio Management, Trading, Research, Risk Management, Marketing, Investor Relations, Legal and Finance. Over the years he has recruited for a number of different investment firms including hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, private equity firms, venture capital firms, family offices and investment banks. In 1993 Michael joined Jay Stevens Associates, an Executive Search firm specializing in the Financial Services industry.
Four years later, he started the firm’s Investment Management practice building the framework for what is today Long Ridge Partners. Michael’s extensive recruiting background allows him to not only understand clients’ functional needs and cultural requirements, it also allows him to understand the emotional and psychological needs of candidates, ensuring the right fit between client and candidate.
Michael graduated from the University of Maryland where he received a BS in Marketing. As an industry expert he is often quoted in industry trades and has been a frequent guest on CNBC and Bloomberg Television.
