Magruder Executive Search was founded by Mark D. Magruder after a successful 15-year stint as a partner with a boutique retained executive search firm he formed with other partners in 2002. Mark has more than 20 years of experience in the retained executive search business executing retained search nationally.

Since entering the search business with Ray & Berndtson in 2000, Mark has developed a search practice focused on assisting private equity, family office as well as public clients across functions and industries identify executives. Mark has extensive search experience in the energy sector assisting oilfield services, midstream and E&P clients introduce complementary leadership. Mark’s generalist search experience also includes significant Aerospace & Defense, Industrial, Chemicals and Consumer client support.

Prior to entering the executive search business in 2000, Mark led ENSR’s north Texas region from Dallas, Texas. ENSR is an ENR Top 50 full-service environmental engineering firm based in Boston. Mark’s environmental consulting practice included buy and sell-side advisory services to industrial and commercial clients across North America. Mark is active in his local community serving on numerous board and non-profits. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Baylor University in 1992 and 1994.
