Hunter Murray

Hunter is frequently retained to recruit high performing, growth focused leaders and board members. He is naturally compelled to identify deeply with clients to represent them well in the market. Hunter also embraces and assists in shaping the board’s passion surrounding the goals and mission of the organization and its customers before endeavoring to court the right leader.

Over the past two decades, Hunter’s deep interest in all facets of technology has equipped him to be the ideal senior talent advisor to companies that leverage innovative tech to solve the world’s toughest problems. He has broad experience in both commercial and public sectors and is often called upon by clients and industry associations to bridge the gap between these two markets. More recently, he has completed searches at the board, C-suite and all tiers of VPs for SaaS, data analytics, cloud and cybersecurity companies.

Prior to co-founding NorthWind, Hunter built the technology practice for another firm. He also co-founded a West Coast, VC funded search firm focused on building senior teams for technology product and services firms. Outside the firm, Hunter is focused on mentoring other leaders in the local community. His desire and goal is to help them reach their full potential and replicate that success in their organizations. He is involved with two non-profits focused on meeting the needs of orphans, serves on the elder board at fellowship bible church in Brentwood, TN, and enjoys fly fishing, skiing, cooking, golf and traveling with his family.
