In June 2026, Occam Global recruited Kim Branson, PhD, to the Advisory Board of Cradle, a leading AI-powered protein engineering platform company.
Branson is widely regarded as one of the foremost leaders in AI for drug discovery and development. As Chief AI Officer at GSK, he leads a global organization of more than 150 engineers and machine learning researchers applying AI across target discovery, human genetics, causal machine learning, and clinical development. Prior to GSK, he served as Head of AI for Early Clinical Development at Genentech.
Over the course of his career, Branson has been at the forefront of translating advances in machine learning into real-world scientific and clinical impact. He holds a PhD in Computational Drug Design from the University of Melbourne and studied Microbiology, Immunology, and Biochemistry as an undergrad at the University of Adelaide.
