In May 2025, Occam Global recruited Jay Barth, MD as CMO of eGenesis.
Dr. Barth is a serial biotech CMO with rich experience shepherding the clinical progress of novel modalities across diverse disease states. He joins eGenesis from Ascidian Therapeutics, where he led the company’s RNA Exon Editing technology into the clinic. His prior roles include that of CMO for orphan disease pioneer Amicus Therapeutics and SVP of Clinical Development at PTC Therapeutics, where he led a landmark approval for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Barth earned his B.A. from Columbia University and M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
