Occam Places Chief Legal Officer at Public Obesity Biotech, Metsera

Metsera (Nasdaq: MTSR) is a clinical-stage biotech focused on developing the next generation of medicines for obesity and metabolic disease. In May 2025, Occam placed Matt Lang as its Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary.

‍Prior to Metsera, Matt had a multidimensional business career culminating in his service as Chief Business & Legal Officer of the public, clinical-stage cell therapy biotech, Lyell Immunopharma. He came to Lyell from Myovant, where he strategically built the legal and administrative functions of the company and guided the organization through its $2.9B acquisition by Sumitomo Pharma.

‍A classics major as an undergrad, Matt also received his JD from the University of Pennsylvania.
