NOAA Fisheries retains JDG to conduct the search for the Director, Office of Science and Technology

January 15, 2020 – JDG Associates, executive search consultants, has been retained by NOAA’s National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) to assist in finding its Director, Office of Science and Technology (OST).  Within NMFS, the Director, OST advocates and ensures sound scientific bases for NMFS science programs and resource conservation and management decisions.

Reporting to the NMFS Chief Science Advisor, the Director has oversight of NMFS scientific research and technology development activities and will be responsible for the planning, development and execution of a multi-disciplinary research program, fisheries landing data, and long-term science and technology strategy.  The Director will also monitor national and international trends in science and technology, ensuring a sound scientific basis for Agency science programs in resource conservation and management decisions.
