Mr. Rafael Barkas joins Magneti Marelli as General Manager, Electronics NAFTA

AUBURN HILLS, MI, March 2018 – Fiat subsidiary, Magneti Marelli, recently appointed Mr. Rafael Barkas as General Manager, Electronics Business Line for the North American region.  Rafael joins Magneti Marelli from Harman International where he served as Vice President, Global Operations.

At Harman, Rafael led global operations for automotive audio with responsibility for manufacturing and quality across eight sites in North America, Europe, and China.

Over Rafael’s 14-year tenure with Harman, he held roles of increasing responsibility in supply chain management, manufacturing, and business development, including a two-year expatriate assignment in China.

Prior to joining Harman, Rafael spent 10 years with Johnson Controls.

Rafael graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a degree in mechanical engineering.  He also earned an MBA from Pepperdine University.
