Morten Nielsen Named Chair of AESC Global Board of Directors

The Association of Executive Search and Leadership Consultants (AESC) has announced 2020 officer appointments to its Global Board of Directors, naming Morten Nielsen as AESC Global Chair. Nielsen, a Senior Partner and Global Managing Partner in the Life Sciences Practice at WittKieffer, has served as AESC Vice Chair for the past two years.

AESC is the professional association for consultants who represent exemplary standards in executive search and leadership advisory worldwide. Its Global Board of Directors is responsible for strategic planning, operational oversight and evaluating the organization’s performance – making decisions in the best interest of the executive search profession and AESC members.

“Morten is a valued contributor to the executive search and leadership community, making his appointment from Vice Chair to Global Chair well-deserved,” said Andrew Chastain, WittKieffer President and CEO. “Our firm is proud of his commitment to AESC and its mission of strengthening leadership worldwide.”

“I am honored to serve as chair for AESC’s global board. I will work closely with my fellow Directors to uphold the organization’s high standards, and to seek innovation and improvement around executive search and talent consulting,” said Nielsen of his appointment. “It is important that we advocate for and educate the next generation of retained search professionals so that they may seize the opportunities and address the challenges that come with market, economic and technology changes. Our focus for this year will be on ‘purpose, people and progress,’ and I look forward to engaging with colleagues about how we can encourage leaders to create strong and inclusive cultures, promote social responsibility and instill a commitment to sustainability.”

“The AESC Board is committed to moving the executive search and leadership consulting profession forward on behalf of the evolving needs of our clients,” said Karen Greenbaum, President and CEO of AESC. “I would like to thank our Board and our Regional Councils for their dedication to the future of our profession.”
