Mariel Gonzales Appointed as Chief Financial Officer, Facing History and Ourselves.

NEW YORK, NY, July 2018 – Bridge Partners is delighted to announce the appointment of Mariel Gonzales as Chief Financial Officer for Facing History and Ourselves.

In her new role at Facing History (https://www.facinghistory.org/), Mariel will bring innovative ideas and financial best practices to support the development of a financial strategy and organizational infrastructure required to advance Facing History to the next level of sustainability and impact.

Mariel has an accomplished career in youth development and education, working for organizations with missions that promote social justice and encourage young people to act with courage. She joins Facing History from BPE (Boston Plan for Excellence), where she served as the Chief Financial & Administrative Officer. Previously, Mariel served as CFO for YouthBuild USA for ten years during a period when the budget grew from $17m to $36m over the first three years.

A graduate of Dartmouth College with an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, Mariel has also worked with the Conservation Law Foundation, Boston Living Center, American Red Cross, Bird Street Community Center, and Boston After School & Beyond in a variety of roles in leadership, development, operations, and finance.
