Leathwaite appoints Clare Flynn Levy as Non-Executive Director

LONDON, U.K., August 25, 2017 – Leathwaite, the global human capital specialist firm, announces that Clare Flynn Levy is to join its board as a Non-Executive Director.

Clare is currently the CEO and founder of Essentia Analytics, a business that provides behavioural data analytics to the buy-side industry. Prior to this, Clare spent 10 years as a fund manager, both active equity (running over $1bn of pension funds for Deutsche Asset Management) and hedge (as founder and CIO of Avocet Capital Management, a specialist tech fund manager).

She transitioned into the software space as President of Beauchamp Financial Technology, a market-leading provider of portfolio management systems to hedge funds, which was acquired by Linedata Services S.A.

She is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), a leading network for CEOs, and a previous chair of the Women’s International Network.  Clare is a US citizen, grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Barnard College in New York.  She has worked and lived in London for the last decade.

Andrew Wallace, Managing Partner of Leathwaite, added:

“We have been fortunate over the last couple of years to have added two extremely talented individuals to our board.  Martin Leuw (Non-Executive Chairman) joined us in 2015 after a successful career as CEO of Iris, the UK’s largest private software house, and Conrad Venter, previously CHRO at Deutsche Bank, joined the same year to strengthen our board.  Their input, advice and perspectives will continue to be invaluable in helping our company develop.

With the growth we are experiencing, coupled with our continued expansion into new sectors, we feel now is an ideal time to add to this breadth and depth of knowledge.

Clare brings deep domain knowledge across the buy-side industry having worked as a portfolio manager and provided technology and data services to the sector for over a decade. She is extremely well connected across the FinTech sector, and was selected by the Mayor of London to be part of a 2015 FinTech delegation to New York and Boston.  Clare is also passionate about diversity and inclusion and we hope she can play a role as we look to become a leader in this field.”
